Reason
The main reason for this error is that digital signature added in the PDF have not yet been verified by the system
Solution
Note: the PDF must be opened in adobe reader.
The steps mentioned below is also applicable for signature not verified

Step 1: right click on the signature box and click show signature properties
Step 2: click on show singers certificate
Step 3: select trust
Step 4: click on add to trusted certificate
Step 5: tick all the options in the box and press ok
Step 6 :click validate button
And signature should be valid now
If the signature still remain as validity unknown then you are trying to validate
a sign that is already expired This PDF may be signed by your old (expired) digital signature
